June-October is the season when humpback whales migrate near our coast. Whales are more difficulty spotted than dolphins, and often found further. There is a 50-60% chance of seeing them. You can book for both dolphins & whales – to be confirmed with the Skipper during the trip. He can advise on the likelihood of sightings, according to conditions, however, it can’t be guaranteed. If whale search is done, the rate is applicable regardless of successful sightings. It is important to note that swimming with whales is illegal in Mauritius unless it is for scientific/media purposes with the state’s authorisation.
